Mission Trip Opportunity
Plans are being made for another trip to the Dominican Republic to participate once again in their Youth Camp and serve a few of the local Wesleyan churches. The date for the trip is July 31 - August 8, and the cost is approximately $1,600 (airfare will be the major determining factor in the cost). We need teens and adults who have a sincere heart for the Lord and a desire to be used in cross cultural missions. The team will spend three days serving at the Youth Camp, and then three days working with a local Wesleyan church in various ministry/outreach projects. Anyone interested can get in touch with Pastor Jonathan Lewis for more information, Pastor Jonathan Lewis, Greensboro Christ Wesleyan Church, 336-299-8062
Thomasville Holly Hill - Year in the Word
Thomasville Holly Hill Wesleyan Church came together and read the entire New Testament the second Sunday of 2013. With that as a start a group of the congregation agreed to read the bible through in one year. In February we came together to celebrate the wonderful influence the scripture has had in all who participated. Thank God for the faithfulness to all who participated.

Hertford Bagley Swamp - First Worship Service in New Facility
On Sunday, March 2, 2014, members and friends of Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church held their first worship service in their recently-completed, 12,000 square foot facility. Located across the road from the current buildings on a 25-acre tract, it includes a 220-seat sanctuary, classrooms, offices, kitchen, children’s worship space, and state-of-the art technology.
The facility replaces the current church building, which was built in 1914, as well as the current fellowship hall and office space. These older facilities will be re-tooled and continue to be used in new and creative ways.
Over 250 attendees were on hand for the first Sunday in the new building. A grand opening and open house are being planned. District Superintendent and former pastor, Dan LeRoy (and wife, Cynthia) were in attendance. James Spaugh and Todd Kemp are the pastors.
The church’s hope is to open the new facility to the community as often as possible. On Wednesday, March 5, Bagley Swamp hosted its first community event in the new facility as it hosted the Perquimans County Ministers' Council for Education. This is a collaborative group of community leaders, school officials and principals, and local ministries.
Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church, located in Perquimans County just outside Hertford, NC, traces its roots to a Sunday School and camp meeting in 1905. Bagley Swamp offers Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 and Sunday School at 9:45 each Sunday. Complete children’s ministries are offered during the 11:00 service
Congratulations to Lead Pastor James Spaugh and Youth Pastor Todd Kemp as they continue to lead the church in ministry and outreach to the community. You may email them a congratulation at james@bagleyswamp.org and todd@bagleyswamp.org or mail to Bagley Swamp Wesleyan Church, 402 Bagley Swamp Road, Hertford, NC 27944.
